Fish For Beginners

My favorite type of fish is salmon. Here, I have an Italian baked salmon recipe that your family will love. The seasoning isn't too heavy which allows you to still be able to taste the salmon's great flavor. I've always wanted to cook it & I finally got to whipping up an easy recipe anyone can try!

Prep time: 15 minutes
Cook time: 25 minutes

Ingredients:
-2 cloves of garlic, minced
-1 tablespoon of olive oil
-1 tablespoon of melted butter
-2 tablespoons of lemon juice
-3/4 teaspoon of dried basil
-1 teaspoon of dried dill
-1 tablespoon of fresh parsley, chopped
-1/2 teaspoon of salt
-Sprinkle of pepper
-2 fillet salmons (Filet salmon portions are usually 5 ounces each)

Directions:
Before starting the marinade, prepare your fillets by scaling them off.

In a medium bowl, mix the garlic, olive oil, melted butter, lemon juice, basil, dill, parsley, salt, & pepper together. This will be your marinade.

Place your fillets in the bowl and coat the top with your marinade. Cover the bowl with saran wrap and leave in the fridge for one hour to marinate. At 30 minutes, make sure to flip the fillets so that each side is able to soak up the marinade evenly.

Preheat your over to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.

Place the fillets in aluminum foil, coat with your marinade, & then wrap it. Place the wrapped fillets in a baking glass dish (This is to make clean up easier if oil/juice leaks out). Bake for 25 minutes.

Squeeze some fresh lemon over before serving & garnish with fresh parsley/sliced lemon. Now show off that you can cook something delcious to your family!
