Game Day Attire

Here in the south, college game day outfits are taken very serious by girls. Football & the SEC are important things in the south. It's what brings families, neighbors, & strangers together on a Saturday night. When your football stadiums alone is usually packed with over 100,000 people, you know you want to look your best! & It's definitely more than just throwing on some t-shirt and jeans.

Girls wear dresses that are just as fancy as their Sunday's best. Game day dresses are such a unique part of Southern culture that there are even boutiques that specialize in game day attire.

Of course when it comes to color, your outfit should consist of your university's school colors! Your typical game day attire for girls consists of a semi casual sundress, cowboy boots, a statement necklace, & some Kendra Scott's. For guys, a university polo, khakis, and cowboy boots will do the trick.

Me & my kuya (big brother in tagalog for my organization PhilSA/FSA), Abel, are here in our favorite game day attire.

It gets very hot & sweaty standing in a football stadium for hours. So flowy and short sleeved dresses are recommended. Chevron blouse is from Aggieland Outfitters, white floral lace skirt is from Hollister Co, and cowboy boots are from Circle G. Although the top and skirt are unavailable online, I linked similar styles below.

Clover chain 3/4 sleeve from Aggieland Outfitters: This 3/4 sleeves can be rolled up making it shorter like how I did with my top! Its semi sheer, which makes the fabric more breathable.

Crocheted lace a-line skirt from Forever 21: This ultra feminine skirt is the perfect combo with the blouse above! A flared skirt is also better than a pencil or tight fitting skirt just because you will be walking a lot & need something less constricted.

Cowboy boots from Cavender's: From Corral Circle G, these are a reasonably priced pair of boots. A great pair if they're your first cowboy boots. They're not too flashy, but not too plain at the same time. & brown boots are typical & can go with any outfit!
